About Our Perfumes

Scent Intensity Scale

The intensity scale was created by our nose to rank intensity of each fragrance based on both the projection or sillage (i.e. how faint or strong the sent is) and longevity (i.e. how long the scent is detectable on the skin).

Factors Influencing Longevity

Several elements affect how long a fragrance lasts on your skin:

  • Concentration

Fragrances with higher concentrations of oils (like Extrait de Parfum) naturally last longer than lighter formulas (like Eau de Toilette or Cologne).

  • Fixatives

Some ingredients act as “fixatives,” helping slow down the evaporation of fragrance molecules so the scent lingers longer.

  • Skin Chemistry

Every person’s skin is unique. Factors such as pH level, skin type (oily vs. dry), and even body temperature can influence how a perfume develops and how long it lasts.

  • Application Method

How you apply perfume matters. Spraying on pulse points (wrists, neck, behind ears) or lightly misting clothes can extend longevity, while rubbing the fragrance into the skin may cause it to fade faster.

Scent Families

Quick Tip: Choose based on your mood or the occasion!

  • Want something light & refreshing → Go Fresh
  • Want something romantic & soft → Go Floral
  • Want something bold & sensual → Go Oriental
  • Want something elegant & warm → Go Woody
  • Floral Notes

The most popular family in perfumery, floral scents capture the beauty of flowers like rose, jasmine, lily, or peony. They’re often romantic, elegant, and feminine—perfect for those who love soft, timeless fragrances.

  • Oriental Notes

Also known as amber or spicy fragrances, oriental notes are warm, sensual, and exotic. They often blend ingredients like vanilla, amber, cinnamon, cardamom, and musk, creating rich and long-lasting perfumes that feel luxurious and bold.

  • Woody Notes

Woody fragrances are grounded, earthy, and sophisticated. With notes like sandalwood, cedarwood, patchouli, and vetiver, they bring depth and warmth. They’re versatile, often used in unisex or masculine scents, and are great for evening wear.

  • Fresh Notes

Crisp and energizing, fresh scents include citrus, aquatic, and green notes such as lemon, bergamot, mint, and sea breeze accords. They’re light, clean, and uplifting—perfect for daytime and warm weather.
