The Project Perfume started with a simple thought: why does luxury perfume have to be so expensive? We noticed how perfumes were overpriced because of fancy packaging and big markups, and we wanted to change that.
That’s why we create inspired fragrances using high-quality oils directly from the origin, Grasse, France — the world’s perfume capital. This way you get the same luxurious scents you love, without the heavy price tag.
For us, perfume isn’t just for special occasions — it’s for every day. We believe everyone deserves to smell amazing, feel confident, and enjoy little moments of luxury, without overspending.
The Origin of Fragrance
The World’s Perfume Capital:
Grasse, France
Grasse is a beautiful town in the French Riviera, now known as the perfume capital of the world. But it didn’t start out that way. Back in the Middle Ages, Grasse was famous for making leather — the only problem was, leather production didn’t exactly smell nice! To fix this, locals began using flowers from the countryside to perfume the leather.
One day, a pair of scented leather gloves made it to Catherine de’ Medici, the Queen of France. She loved them so much that she named Grasse the royal supplier of perfumed gloves. From there, the town’s reputation grew, and by the 18th century, Grasse had become the center of perfume-making.
Even today, many of the world’s most iconic fragrances trace their roots back to Grasse.
